Special Treatments
The unique Vycross® Technology is safe and effective. This process cross-links the hyaluronic acid (HA) molecules in these JUVÉDERM® fillers results in a specialized, smooth gel filler. Juvederm has been studied to be effective for all skin types. Dermal fillers are made of Hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance which is a sugar found in the body. HA is made of Calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral and a major component of bone. Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable and made of synthetic material. HA brings fluid and water to the area that was injected which is why it can take up to 2 weeks to see full results of the treatment
Side Effects
The most common side effects are redness, swelling, pain, and tenderness. Minimize exercise, sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment to avoid worsening of any of these side effects
